Job Description:

Providing strategy and policy analysis to support the Army Futures Command (AFC) Headquarters Office. AFC leads the Army’s future force modernization enterprise. AFC assesses and integrates the future operational environment, emerging threats and technologies to develop and deliver concepts, requirements and future force designs, and supports the delivery of modernization solutions. AFC postures the Army for the future by setting strategic direction, integrating the Army’s future force modernization enterprise, aligning resources to priorities and maintaining accountability for modernization solutions.


Task Description:

 The Emergency Manager will provide operational support to manage the daily emergency management related planning and operations of AFC, including designing and implementing the planning and preparedness functions of the Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plan and Emergency Preparedness Program (EPP); coordinating the planning and development of Operation Security (OPSEC) programs, assisting with implementing and managing anti-terrorism and emergency management plans and programs, and assist in the management of the readiness reporting programs for AFC.

Required skills/Level of Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in developing and executing readiness and emergency management plans
  • 4+ years working in Operations, Operations Management, Logistics, and/or Supply Chain
  • 7+ years government experience
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
